Dear Parents and Teachers,

When we designed the LiteracyCenter.Net, we talked to a lot of smart people including mothers, fathers, teachers, educational researchers, scientists, physicians, and psychologists. We read books and we watched children learning to read in a variety of settings. We also asked our friends from many countries what they remembered most about learning to read.

When two of our friends from Russia told us that they had learned to read at home with their parents, before they entered Kindergarten, we suddenly had a great idea.  What if every parent had the tools to teach their own children to read in a comfortable and supportive home environment? Not only would this give children a head start in life, it would enable every child to master basic skills in a first language before being dropped into a second language learning environment.

Start a Reading Revolution!

If parents take a bit of time each day to teach their children letters, numbers, colors and five words from a list of ten frequently used word families, before sending them off to school, we will witness a global reading revolution.

We designed this website for parents and teachers around the world.

When you print these lessons, and click on our advertisers, we will design more free education material and add more languages. The more often you come the more lessons we will design.
